Graduate Education

Clark University offers a number of 32 undergraduate majors for students interested in pursuing a career in any of the fields available, with many minors that complete or diversify them depending on every individual’s needs and taste. Statistics show that a percentage of around 49% of undergrad students go on to attend graduate or professional schools and the larger number of them remains on at Clark.

Continuing their studies at this university guarantees students that they receive complementary education to that of the last few years, based on it and that comes to deepen what a student has already learned. After finishing their undergraduate studies, young men and women are capable of understanding the more complex areas and concepts of a master’s or a doctorate. Through a research based past at the university, where the student has been taught to work closely with the faculty in turning theory into applications, the student is prepared for what is to come.

Interactivity is the key at Clark University where students engage in discussions with their professors and make inquiries, leading to a better understanding of multiple topics. In graduate programs the environment is consistent with that of undergrad studies. However the classes are smaller, which permit faculty to better communicate with their students and develop a relationship with them, making discussions more accessible and productive.

Clark University offers the option for students to follow an accelerated B.A/Master’s Degree Program and doctoral studies. The fifth year of the accelerated B.A/M.A will be free of charge for students who qualify. Graduates have the opportunity of choosing various fields to either intensify or diversify their previously gained knowledge. Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Physics and Phycology are some of the most popular programs, along with Holocaust and Genocide Studies, International Development, Community and Environment, Geographic Information Science and MBAs in Management. There are twelve master’s programs in total and seven doctorates.
